Carlos Santana – Instrumental Heaven

I have been introduced to Carlos Santana’s music a bit late, I was 20 as far as I remember. First instrumental I heard was “I love you much too much” and immediately I knew that Santana was one of those virtuoso guitarists with unique touch and sound. I started to listen to all his old records since late 60’s and through the years my love for his music grew everytime I listened to a new instrumental. Of course Santana is commonly known for his popular songs and hits through the years. I love a lot of songs by him and his band, but what makes him standout to me as a guitarist myself is his instrumentals which are in many cases covers to popular songs released by other singers.

I will create a compilation of hits and pop songs later, but this time I collected some of my favorite Santana instrumentals that I kept listening to over the years. I have had the chance to cover some of those instrumentals but never thought my performance was up to the level of publishing some of those covers. Maybe sometime soon, but I will leave you now to listen to this playlist.
